On Wednesday I promised you the exact words. Here they are. This is the review-request text that gets a "yes" — because it's short, it's warm, and it does the work for the customer instead of handing them a chore.
Send it by text (not email) within an hour of finishing, while the good feeling is still fresh. Swap in your name, their name, and your Google review link.
The one to copy:
"Hi [Name] — it was a pleasure helping you with [the job] today! Quick favor: reviews make a huge difference for a small business like mine, and it'd mean a lot if you'd share a sentence about how it went. Takes about 30 seconds here: [your Google review link]. Thank you so much — [Your Name]"
That's it. Notice what it does: it's personal, it names the specific job, it explains why it matters (small business), it sets the time expectation ("30 seconds"), and it drops the link right there so there's nothing to go find.

Two more you can keep in your back pocket:
The in-person line (say it, then text the link): "If you were happy with how this turned out, the best thing you could do for me is leave a quick Google review — I'll text you the link right now so it's easy."
The gentle nudge (only if they said yes and forgot, a few days later): "No pressure at all, [Name] — just floating the review link back up in case it got buried! [link] Thanks again."
One nudge. Never more. And remember the rules from Wednesday: don't offer anything in exchange, and don't screen for only-happy customers — just ask real people at the right moment and let it build honestly.
